Yaoless Rockets Lose To Mavs
The Rockets were Yaoless. The Mavericks were Howardless. So Terry stepped up to the plate and delivered what I think is what won the game.
Terry ended up with 31 points after hitting his first 7 shots and ending the first half with 18 points.
Nowitzki had 24 points and 12 rebounds to contribute. Is it me or when Terry and Nowitzki both do well in the same game, the Mavericks are unstoppable? Terry is known to have good games against the Rockets on the road.
This is the Mavericks 3rd straight win now bringing them to 5-7 on the season. Their next game is against the Grizzlies which should bring in a 4th straight win.
Mavs Blowout Bobcats
Looks like our top 3 guys all stayed in the game for the full game. Wonderful performances from Nowitzki, Howard and Terry.
Although the Bobcats aren't the greatest team in the world, for a minute there they looked better than the Mavericks.
The Mavs did accomplish in forcing the Bobcats to have the second longest opening shutout in a game. Their first score came with around 5:42 left in the first quarter.
Stackhouse Ponders Future
According to some articles on ESPN, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram and the Dallas Morning News, Stackhouse claims he has many minutes left in his career and he's not getting enough playing time in Dallas.
Honestly I don't mind seeing Stackhouse go. Maybe you're not getting the minutes and play time when you don't produce anything for the team during such minutes.
Perhaps this is the time to not trade for anyone but for a draft pick, either a late first round pick or early second round pick is all Stackhouse is worth right now.
We have Wright and Green readily available to take his spot, with Green proving he is worthy to play that role and energy off the bench.
Cuban Charged With Insider Trading
According to CBS 11, Mark Cuban has been charged with insider trading for dumping his stocks in a Canadian company called Mamma.com.
The charge is a civil complaint and not a criminal complaint. I guess that's a good thing, sounds to me if he loses he'll pay his fine and interests due and be on his merry way without any jail time.
According to the article, he dumped all 600,000 shares of stock when he learned from the CEO that they were going raise capital with a PIPE (private investment in public equity) offering.
You can read the complaint filed in federal court in Dallas here.

Cuban: Kidd Trade For Harris A Win-Win
Mark Cuban claims the trade for Kidd that dealt Harris to the Nets has been a win-win situation.
I actually have to say no on this one Mark. It's not a win-win trade. Devin Harris is only destined to get better, he's young, he has years and many years left in him. Kidd will be gone and out of the picture soon. Where does that leave the Mavericks? In search of another PG because I'll be surprised if Jose Barea fills that role.
Unless the plan all along is to try and lure Harris back, which I think every Maverick fan would like to see and welcome.
Cuban was quoted saying from the Star-Telegram, "It is what it is. Jason Kidd has been our best player by far. There’s no question about. It’s a win-win. J-Kidd has just been phenomenal, so it’s been a win-win trade."

Mavs Win In OT
So can we start winning again? I was actually worried about this game. Any other game against the Knicks in the past few years and I wouldn't have been worried. But the Mavs finally beat the odds of playing so shitty in the final quarters to tie it up and take control in OT for a 124-114 win.
Nowitzki had 39 points and 15 rebounds. Howard had 31 points and 14 rebounds.
The Mavericks avoided their first 6 game losing skid which was back in March of 2000.
Another Home Loss
Final score 102-100.
Yes, you heard me. Another home loss for the Mavericks. It was the first time since 1997 the Magic have won a game against the Mavericks at home.
The Mavericks blew another 15 point lead at one point in the 4th quarter to make it their 7th loss of the season. They are now 0-4 at home with their 5th straight loss to have a 2-7 record, in dead last. I never thought I'd see the Grizzlies ahead of the Mavericks in the standings.
Sure it's still early in the season but if we keep blowing off leads after the half, we're not gonna even make it to the playoffs.
