Kidd Stays Put
It's been reported that Jason Kidd is staying put in Dallas, most likely to finish out his career in Dallas. Supposedly it's a 3 year deal worth 25 million. Kidd will probably play a major role in Dallas, especially with mentoring Little Jose and Rodrigue Beaubois who is coming aboard from France after the draft.
Also in the works supposedly is acquiring Marcin Gortat from Orlando, which in my opinion is a good move for a big man to backup Dampier before he departs and hopefully take on a full role or starting role. Watching him play with Orlando in the playoffs and finals was exciting, he's got a good open look shot that I think could help Dallas down in the paint.
If Dallas keeps their team intact, maybe perhaps getting someone else worthy from a Dampier, Stackhouse and even Josh Howard trade, we could be building the team that gets us back into competition in the West. The only teams that really scare me now is the Lakers and Nuggets, who only got better after the season is over with some of the players they've picked up.
