Mavs/Raptors Trade Rumors
According to FanNation:
"The Toronto Raptors have been looking for a small forward, and HOOPSWORLD has learned that they may have finally found their man. A deal being discussed would send troubled forward Josh Howard to the Raptors in a deal that would land Andrea Bargnani and Anthony Parker in Dallas, with a combination that could involve DeSagana Diop and Antoine Wright headed back to Toronto."
Is it true or going to happen? I'm not that familiar with the two players we would pick up and I'm still unsure why we would get rid of Diop yet again.
I would speculate that if this were to occur, it's the Mavericks freeing up some salary cap space to do some shopping in the near future.

Haha...isn't pot legal in Canada? Maybe it's just Vancouver but that's hilarious if it is all of Canada. That combined with Howard not wanting to do the National Anthem or whatever would leave Canada as a good destination.
Jokes aside, I'd hate to see Howard go - he is one of my favorite players. Bargnani is a good player - a young big man who can shoot 3's. He has a good offense...I'm not that familiar with how he plays defensively. I like the other 2 Mavs as well (Wright is one of the lone Aggies in the NBA :)). I don't think it's a bad trade but not sure that I'd be in favor of it. I'd probably want to do more research on salaries and when they expire and all to make a better decision.

Honestly with Howard out in so many games this season, I think the Mavericks could do without him. I guess if I were Cuban, I'd keep him another year or so, straighten him out, hopefully he keeps his stats up and then trade him for a player that's equivalent but more persistent.
